THE CHOIRS
Touch of Class | Sound Dimension
Since the early 1990s, Joplin High School's Touch of Class (women's) and Sound Dimension (mixed) show choirs have grown to approximately 50 performers each. Both groups spend a great deal of time in extra rehearsals for the show choir season that starts mid-January and ends mid-March. They regularly place and are recognized in Southwest Missouri competitions. In addition, the singers compose select chamber choirs. They perform choral music in the fall and in the spring. Participants also perform at the highest levels in Solo, Ensemble, and Large Group contests.
